Does irig work with ampkit1/12/2024 ![]() They have indicated they are listening and hinted that copy and paste is coming. I've been making periodic requests on IK's Facebook and forum pages for copy and paste. I won't be buying that, but the new apps look promising. They're also pushing a condenser microphone for $60 that looks as it will suffer from the same crosstalk issues the iRig has. Don't get too excited about the word "mastering." it's not what you might think, but is usable.ĪmpliTube is coming out with a line of Fender "amps" and "pedals" that will be available as separate or in app purchases as well as a vocal suite of effects that can purchased the same way. I've gotten some interesting sounds on vocal tracks using it, but I prefer being able to copy and paste. They also have mastering feature with reverb, EQ, and compression. I forked up the $10 for AmpliTube's recorder for the same reasons you mentioned. ALL your regions and track rails are now "bounced" to a single track. Next, tap an empty track rail, bring up the hotbox menu and hit paste. All your levels and pan settings will be collected on the pasteboard. After you've got them all selected, pull up the hotbox menu and tap copy. To bounce, tap all the regions in all the track rails you want to bounce. Once you are in settings, go into General and then Accessibility. For this step, you need to go into the settings tab of your iPhone. This will confirm the functionality of your phone’s port. Until AmpliTube adds copy and paste, it's just not worth it to me. If you have tried all this then you can finally try connecting your iRig 2 to another device and check. But the main thing is if I record into a daw that it sounds like a good sound What does cck mean 5 Kryz Freiburg, Germany The iRig HD does have a volume control too. You can do all of it without the computer. From what you've said it sounds like the ampkit may have the edge with audio out and its volume control Can't tell what it's made from or how durable. Record two or three in one recording, paste into MT, and take the best parts. AmpKit will loop the whole recording, which is nice for the short bits. i usually get a decent emulation in the software and load youtube videos of songs to learn for the gig. What you can do is copy small sections from MultiTrack using the loop markers and paste those into AmpKit. i have been using an iRig, macbook pro 16' and Ampkit software to learn songs for years. You can't just play back sections of your tracks or loop sections in the track. The sound wave will give you the visual as to where to paste the tracks (hope that makes sense).ĪmpKit isn't perfect. I need to try it with HB's to see if that quiets it down. the noise gate is useless, and there is a little ambient noise without it. I bought the amplitube ap for 20 to get all the models and they're pretty good. It helps to leave cues in your AmpKit recordings counting in with your pick on the strings. The ampkit sims with gain feedback like crazy with the irig to the point that they are unusable. Lining them up right isn't always easy, but you can move them unil they're in the right place. ![]() After that I copy and paste my guitar parts back to MultiTrack. In AmpKit, I go into recording mode, select my backing track and record my guitar parts. In MultiTrack, I bounce my backing tracks to a blank track, copy that to the pasteboard, paste that into AmpKit as a backing track. I bought almost all their "gear" and am very impressed at the variety and quality of sounds I can get. I guess I should just get my sound card fixed and go back to using Garageband/Itunes.I like both apps, but if I had to pick one to use with MultiTrack it would be AmpKit. not sure how the IRig works w/ my Mac itself (since it can use use multiple applications), I have a soundcard issue and can only hear 1 side of the mix so that sux. I do not like that it takes 2 pieces (PLUS my Ipad and the wart for the x3) to do this.I know using the amplitude as only the player is kind of backwards, BUT my Ipad will only use 1 app at a time (the iphone is the same) so the Irig integrates the player and the "virtual amp". I like it (although I wish there was a panning option). I am now using the X3 (as the virtual rack) into the Irig (as the interface) and use Amplitude for the player. Its "Amplitude" (as the virtual amp) that is weak. Its job is to interface, which it does fairly well. So I busted out the x3 (as per my last post) and found some usable goodness in that (again), and it occurs to me that :
